Water Make-up (Pure) can be applied directly to the skin, but you can also apply a thin layer of Grimas Cake Make-up beforehand. This has the advantage of evening out the application of the Water Make-up (Pure) colours, making them more intense and making them easier to clean later. Cake Make-up dries quickly and does not mix with Water Make-up (Pure).
When working with Water Make-Up (Pure), it is important that you apply it to skin that is not too oily. This way, the make-up adheres better to the skin and the result lasts longer. Water Make-up works just like watercolor. Make the colored surface pasty with a brush or a make-up sponge and a little water. Do not work too dry or too liquid. Water Make-up (Pure) dries in 15 seconds.

When you don't want the colors to blend, wait until the first colored layer is dry before working on or against it.
Change the water in which you rinse your brushes regularly and preferably work with two small containers: one for light shades and one for dark shades.

Water Make-up (Pure) can also be applied to hair, provided it is not treated (permed, dyed, bleached, henna-dyed). Use a toothbrush for this.

Elimination
You can wash the skin lightly with lukewarm water and soap (or shampoo) to remove a large part of it. Massage briefly and rinse with lukewarm water. Rubbing too much with water and soap or shampoo can irritate the skin.
You can optionally continue cleaning the skin with a make-up remover milk or a make-up remover cream. Massage briefly and remove with a soft tissue.

Do not use Afschmink, as this contains waxes and oils which make the Water Make-up stick to the skin instead.
Do not use ready-made wet makeup remover wipes.

If there is any color left on the skin, you can remove it with Grimas Cleansing Lotion. If the skin feels dry after cleansing, you can apply a care cream.
You clean hair dyed with Water Make-up (Pure) with shampoo.

Put away the materials
Rinse off the Water Make-up if necessary and dab the make-up with clean tissues. Let the make-up air dry and only put the lid back on after the Water Make-up is dry. Store it in a cool, dry place until next use.
The sponges are 'disposable', so you can throw them away after use. If you want to reuse them, rinse them under the tap with a little soap or shampoo or wash them in the washing machine (in a laundry bag or pillowcase) at a minimum of 60°C.
You can clean the brushes with soap and water or shampoo. Put the damp hair after washing with your hands in the desired shape. Let the brushes dry lying on a towel and do not stand them up while they dry as this draws moisture into the shaft.
